Dundonald: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) Band secured top rankings across multiple categories at the World Music Competition in Scotland
In the Dundonald competitions, the team was awarded first place for Best Marching and Discipline Team and first place for Best Overseas Team. It also claimed second place in the World Championship (Level Two) and third place in the World Championship (Level Three).
In the Drum Major Competition held in Dundonald, Staff Sergeant Mahmoud bin Yousuf al Sinani won first place, Warrant Officer2 Mohammed bin Khamis al Ameri secured third place, and Captain Humaid bin Sulaiman al Ghafri finished fourth.
Also, in the Bridge of Allan competitions, the ROA Band earned second place in the World Championship (Level Three).
Warrant Officer2 Mohammed bin Khamis al Ameri received first place, Captain Humaid bin Sulaiman al Ghafri finished third, and Staff Sergeant Nader bin Jamaan Jabli secured fourth place in the Drum Major Competition at Bridge of Allan.
Meanwhile, the Royal Oman Air Force (RAFO) Band secured first place overall in the (4B) category in the competitions. It also won second place overall in the (4A) category.
The percussion group claimed first place in both categories and received the award for the Best Military Appearance overall.
The RAFO band also achieved second place in the marching and military appearance categories among participating bands from outside the United Kingdom.
